Follow Me To: London

So I'm aware I've not done a "week in pictures" post for a while (bad blogger! I'll consider my wrists slapped on your behalf). Things have been horrendously busy and I'm not quite sure where one week starts and ends so I'll do a round up post soon, but today I wanted to talk you through another London trip. I was actually here for a blogger event but including that on this post would make it a mile long so we'll do this in two parts.

So this Monday we disappeared off to London. I started my day by crawling out of bed at 7am because I left the dress I wanted to wear in Bristol (genius, aren't I?). By the time I got back and Adam had finished work, we got into London around lunch time.

I feel like I could start using a stock image of this hot chocolate, but tradition states that upon arriving in London, a pilgrimage must be made to Gail's Bakery - home to the best hot chocolate in London.

P.S. Adam went super fancy and out dressed me - not happy!

Having filled up on hot chocolate, we headed over to Bond Street. I, of course, dragged Adam into Forever 21. Normally I love everything in there, but for some reason I was really disappointed and actually left empty handed (if you know me, you know this happens basically never).

When we were in Birmingham a few weeks ago I took Adam to Selfridge's as he had never been. He thought it was amazing, but I said it was not a patch on the London store, so I seized my chance to prove this.

It's like a weird Aladdin's cave when you go in there. I never knew that simple things could be so expensive - for example, we were given some chocolates to sample when we walked into this shop within Selfridges, you can buy four chocolates for the bargain price of £8.95 *crying emoji*

To be fair, it was very nice chocolate....

We then wandered over to the Anthropologie - it was my first time seeing anything from Anthropologie and I basically went to heaven. Going to the blogger event was the only reason I didn't come home with a very *generously priced* fish glass.

Long story short, two hours later I emerged smelling of perfume and candles, with one very happy boyfriend - and a Polaroid of our trip to Selfridges, of course.

It's at this point that we'd managed to spend a whole two hours in Selfridge's and it was time for us to go the event. It was in Finsbury Square, which by the way is absolutely beautiful at night! But we'll discuss that in part two of my London blog.
