Tips for Revamping Your Wardrobe

**This is a sponsored guest post, not written by me*

Perhaps, you have run out of options on what to wear to work or a special event. You have exhausted your clothes and don’t have new ideas on how to match them. The problem lies in the type of outfits you have and how you combine them. You don’t need all the clothes in the world to look fabulous. You just need the right type of clothing that compliments your body shape and size. For example, you can have two pairs of pants (maybe like these tactical pants) – one with a plain colour and another in a print. The same thing applies to your tops – two with solid colours and the other two in the same print. Get a complimentary jacket, blazer, and cardigan to spice up your style.

Going for cheaper clothes may sound smart. But remember that clothes of such prices do not last long. As such, you have to purchase more outfits, which cost more money in the long run. Invest in quality pieces of plus size clothing that will serve you for a long time. Quality clothes don’t always come cheap, but they provide value for your money.

Understand Your Body

You should never be ashamed of your body for being plus size. You can look fabulous whatever your body type, and dressing to celebrate your figure and make yourself feel confident is just as helpful for men as women. Self-acceptance is the first step to take to enjoy your outfits with confidence. Think about the areas of your body that you feel happy and confident with, and dress to highlight those areas. By knowing your body shape, you can highlight your strong assets and downplay other parts with your clothes. Find a cloth that also matches your size. Online clothing stores provide sizing chart and measurement guidelines that will aid your shopping experience. Measure areas, like your waist, bust, and thighs and compare your size with theirs to get the best fit.

Well-Fitted Clothes Augment Your Looks

Baggy clothes have a time and place - they're comfy when you're wanting to be cosy on the sofa, practical when you're doing DIY or working on a project that involves you being sat at your desk all day. However, if you want to get dressed up and feel great about yourself, tailoring is the way to go.

Getting a few well-fitting pieces of clothing in your wardrobe that all go together are the key to always feeling as good as you look. It makes it easy to put together an outfit with very minimal effort that will look like you've made a lot of effort.

Know Your Colours

Knowing your colours can go a long way to helping you feel more confident in the clothes you wear. If you're stuck and don't have any particular colour preferences then you could consider getting a colour analysis done, but you definitely don't need to! Take a look at the clothes you wear most often and pay special attention to the items that always make you feel great when you wear them - what is it that you like about them? There are probably a few colours that you naturally gravitate towards that make you feel fabulous every time - if you can work out what they are then invest in pieces that are a similar tone.

There are lots of ways to make yourself look and feel great through your wardrobe. There's no reason why being plus size should change how you dress or how you feel about your body - everyone deserves to feel as good as they look, and putting a few staple pieces into your wardrobe it'll make things much easier for you
